The Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Vo Thi An Suan, is coming to Kathmandu on Saturday for a three-day official visit to Nepal. She is going to visit Nepal at the friendly invitation of Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vice President Suan's visit to Nepal from August 7 to 9 will be the first high-level visit from Vietnam. During the
visit, Vice President Yadav and his counterpart Suan will hold a delegation-level bilateral dialogue in Kathmandu on August 8, the ministry said. Similarly, Vice President Suan is scheduled to hold a courtesy meeting with other high-ranking personalities of Nepal.
Since this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Vietnam, this visit is viewed with special importance. Vice President Suan is scheduled to return home on August 9 after completing his visit.
