Women have a special role in moving the society forward: Deputy Prime Minister Singh

Speaking at a program organized by Nepal Mahila Sangh Kathmandu Region No. 1 on Wednesday in Naya Baneshwar, Deputy Prime Minister Singh said that the role of women in the current changes is special.

Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh has said that women have a special role in moving the society forward.

Speaking at a program organized by Nepal Mahila Sangh Kathmandu Region No. 1 on Wednesday in Naya Baneshwar, Deputy Prime Minister Singh said that the role of women is special in the changes achieved now and expressed his best wishes for Teej.  

Now it is easy to travel because of the increased transportation facilities. There should be a special festival to visit the dead after the marriage, if there is no way first. Especially on Teej, it is a tradition to go and express one's happiness and sadness through songs and dances, he said, "I think it is better for sisters to celebrate this festival without downgrading the beliefs of Teej, without forgetting the originality." 

He also expressed his gratitude saying that the role of women in this area is important to get the candidates of Nepali Congress elected at the union, state and local levels in Kathmandu Region No. 1. In the

program, Congress leader Kalyani Rizal, Chairman of Mangaladevi Singh Foundation Srijan Singh, State MP Dipendra Shrestha, Shanta Dhakal and others expressed their greetings on the occasion of Teej.
