Water supply minister Pradeep Yadav and secretary engineer Pramiladevi Shakya Bajracharya exchanged a performance contract for the financial year 2082/83 on Tuesday.
Secretary Engineer Bajracharya exchanged the performance agreement with Minister Yadav in the hall of the Ministry for the main work to be done and achievements in the current financial year.
At the same time, Minister Yadav has also given instructions to make the work done in the financial year 2082/83 fast and effective and to follow the agreement made today honestly.
Minister Yadav said that the main purpose of the agreement made today is to implement the programs under the Ministry of Water Supply mentioned in the policy and program, budget statement of the Government of Nepal according to the scheduled time, cost and quality.
He said, 'Increasing the capacity of all three levels of government, to expand safe drinking water and sanitation services in urban and rural areas, special attention will be paid to waste water collection, processing and management. Our goal is to provide safe water and sanitation services to all Nepalis by 2100.'
Minister Yadav warned not to repeat the shortcomings of the previous financial year and instructed all department heads including the secretary and joint secretary to make the work of the ministry efficient in the current financial year.
Secretary Engineer Bajracharya expressed her commitment to work to achieve the target in the current financial year. Minister Yadav had previously signed a performance agreement with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
