President of Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal, Upendra Yadav has said that he will cooperate impartially if the Gaur massacre is re-investigated. The Supreme Court had ordered on August 2 (Monday) to proceed with the investigation of Gaur murder case 18 years ago.

The Supreme Court made this decision after hearing a writ petition filed by Tribhuwan Sah, one of the victims of the Gaur massacre. In a conversation with News Agency Nepal on the same subject, Chairman Yadav said that he would assist in the investigation if the government started the investigation. 

Yadav said that even when the incident happened, the government had already investigated and brought out the facts.  He said that the Judicial Inquiry Commission as well as the Human Rights Commission and the United Nations Human Rights Commission have investigated this matter and brought their reports. . Chairman Yadav said that there is no condition to proceed with the case at that time and to proceed with the case again after 19 years may be a political revenge. 

Yadav says that it is too early to talk about the case without the full text of the verdict. He says that there is no need to panic as they are people who fought for the rights of the people. He also said that he was not afraid of the verdict and did not see the need to be afraid. He commented that there is no need to be afraid as he has not done anything wrong by saying that the previous commissions of inquiry have also shown the defendant and the main defendant as the attackers. He said that since this is a political issue, the political forces should find a solution. 

Relatives of those killed in the Gaur massacre and the injured demanded an order to proceed with the investigation, saying that no investigation was carried out even when they filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Rautat. The Supreme Court has also issued an order in the names of the police headquarters, the Ministry of Home Affairs, etc. as the defendants in the case. On 7th of Chaitra 2063, 27 Maoist workers were killed and more than 100 were injured in the clash at rice mill square in Gaur of Rautahat. On that day, the Madhesi People's Rights Forum and the Maoists organized a program at the same place at the same time. Tribhuwan Sah filed a case in the Supreme Court on 21st May 2080.

We respect the honorable court. But before that, when that incident happened. At that time, the government investigated and judicial investigation, the Human Rights Commission investigated and the United Nations Human Rights Commission investigated and they all reached a conclusion at that time. It was not possible to go ahead with this case. Today, it was learned from the media that an order was issued by the Supreme Court to conduct an investigation after 19 years. But it is not time to respond to it without its full text.
