The Indian Embassy in Nepal celebrated India's 79th Independence Day under the chief hospitality of Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh. The Embassy celebrated the Independence Day by organizing a special cultural program at the Bhandar Khal garden in the Patan Palace area.

In the event, Chief Guest Singh expressed his best wishes to India on behalf of Nepal on the occasion of Independence Day. The relationship between Nepal and India is special. "There is not only a relationship between open borders and breadwinners, but also religious, cultural and political relationships," he said. Deputy Prime Minister Singh discussed the connection between the establishment of democracy in Nepal and India's freedom movement and expressed his belief that Nepal-India relations will be further strengthened in the coming days.
