Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) leader Mohan Bahadur Thapa has been expelled by the US government. Neta Thapa was expelled for committing various crimes while staying in America.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport immigration sources, Thapa, who was expelled from America, arrived in Nepal on July 22. He landed at Kathmandu airport on July 22 from Air India flight number AI 211 via India. Soon after, the airport immigration handed over the documents to Thapa to the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau. The bureau has also given him the papers and left him.

56-year-old Thapa, who was born on March 1, 1969, was detained and investigated by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) some time ago on charges of illegal activities. During the investigation, he was investigated for immigration and other US law violations.

After Donald Trump was elected as the US President for the second term, from January 20, 2025, the administration accelerated the process of expelling foreign citizens who had illegally settled in their country. At the same time, those who went from Nepal along with other countries were also included in the deportation list. According to

sources, Thapa's green card was also canceled and returned to America. But it has not been officially confirmed .
