Monsoon has become more active in West Nepal since last night. Meteorologist David Dhakal of Meteorology Department, Weather Forecast Division informed that the monsoon was active across the country yesterday, but today it is more active in the west.

Today, it is raining in various districts of Far West. Now it is raining in some areas of Kanchanpur, Dadeldhura, Doti, Darchula, Kailali, Acham and some areas of Kaski. According to the

part, 88.6 mm of rain has fallen in Doti in the last 12 hours. He said that there was 74.6 mm of rain in Kailali and 69.4 mm in Baitadi.

'Looking at the measurement of the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall is 116 in Baitadi, 92.4 in Doti, 90.6 in Kailali and 98 mm in Achham,' he said. 

According to him, there has been heavy rain in Sindhupalchok, Nuwakot, Kaski, Parbat districts. According to the record of the last three hours, there has been continuous rain in Kailali, Darchula, Baitadi, Dadeldhura and surrounding districts.  According to the division, the low pressure line of the monsoon is around the Terai in the west and a little south of the Terai in the east, so the monsoon is more active in the west than in the east. 

The department has informed that the rain activity will gradually decrease from tonight.  Meanwhile, the flow of water in the Mahakali river has increased. According to the measurement at 11 o'clock on Thursday morning, the flow of water in the river reached 1 lakh 26 thousand 712 cusecs according to the District Police Office Kanchanpur.
