The Election Commission said: Ranjita Shrestha is the president of NAUPA

The Election Commission has said that Ranjita Shrestha is the president of Civil Liberation Party. The National Assembly of Unmukti on July 15 removed Ranjita and elected MP Lalveer Chaudhary as the chairman and sent it to the Commission for updating.

Nita Pokharel Aryal, spokesperson of the Commission, said that according to the Act on Political Parties and the constitution of the party, Ranjita has been appointed as the president. "According to the party law and the party constitution, Ranjita Shrestha has been confirmed as the president," she said.

Naupa's guardian Reshammalal Chaudhary side  Lalveer was selected as the party president. Earlier, the meeting of the silk party had expelled the president Ranjita from the party. She consulted the Election Commission saying that the action against her was wrong.

Although Ranjita was appointed as the chairman by the commission, the party's national meeting in Kathmandu removed Shrestha from the chairmanship, making him not even an ordinary member. After Ranjita was involved in the middleman who grabbed the land of lychee garden in Batulechaur, Pokhara, there was a dispute in Naupa.

Ranjita asked parliamentary party leader Gangaram Chaudhary for an explanation on July 15 when the party's dispute was intensifying. Why not take action because they have acted against the interests of the party, against the provisions of the law and the law regarding political parties? She asked for an explanation.
