Due to the rain, the flow of water in Saptakoshi river is increasing. It has been raining in the hilly areas since Tuesday night. According to the measurement made at 6 am on Wednesday, the flow of water was 166,150 cusecs per second, and it crossed 190,000 in the afternoon.

According to the barrage administration, the flow of water reached 191,910 cusecs per second when measuring at 12 noon. Before that, at 10 am, the flow of water was measured at 177,835 cusecs per second.

As the flow of water continues to increase, 23 gates out of 56 have been opened, and as a sign of danger, red flags and lights have been lit at the Koshi Barrage. When the flow of water in the river exceeds 150,000 cusecs per second, red flags and lights are lit at the barrage.
