Auditor General Toyam Raya has said that the universities have not been audited for 8/10 years. In the Public Accounts Committee meeting on Friday, Auditor General Raya said that the audit of all units, including universities, will be prioritized in the coming days.
According to him, most of the audits have been done now, except for two, four cases, eliminating such a situation that has existed for a long time.
'Unfortunateness of federal agencies continues to increase. There is a need to make an effective action plan to reduce it,' he said. Raya said that it is not good that 91 percent of the 10 ministries are uninformed and emphasized that the work should be carried out so that the uninformed will fall to zero.
Raya said, 'Until some time ago, more than 100 units under Tribhuvan University could not be audited. The audit has now been completed by the end of last June. In the coming days, the accounts of all agencies and units will be audited.'' According to him, while discussing the report of one year, what was in the report of other years of the same nature is missing. Therefore, those issues should be discussed in depth. Raya complained that during the preparation of the annual report, the secretaries were asked for suggestions, but there was no response.
