Butwal-Narayangadh road section has been blocked again. The section below Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 of Nawalparasi (before Bardghat Susta) under the East-West Highway has been blocked.
Yadav Dhakal, Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardghat Susta East) said that the road was muddy and slippery due to the rain and the vehicle got stuck. The southern section, which was blocked since last Monday morning due to continuous rain, has been operating for some time and will be blocked again. Police Superintendent Dhakal informed that the road has been blocked again since this morning.
'Even in light rain, vehicles are unable to move because of slips, trucks get stuck on muddy roads,' he said.
The police said that there was a problem with the traffic due to the road obstruction and that they are trying to repair and open the road. Vinayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 has been continuously obstructed on the road near Vishwakarma temple. During the expansion of the Butwal-Narayangadh road section, the road is blocked in this area even in normal years because the lower hills were cut down.
