The Judicial Council has recommended the appointment of 27 judges to the High Court. The council meeting chaired by Chief Justice Prakashmansingh Raut on Thursday recommended the appointment and posting of judges in various high courts.
According to the
council, 16 district court judges are among those recommended. 5 people have been recommended as judges of the High Court from the judicial service and 6 from legal professionals.
Justice Council Secretary Yama Bahadur Budhamgar has been recommended as a judge of the Surkhet, Jumla bench. Similarly, Supreme Court Co-Registrar Achyut Kuikel has been recommended as Judge of Patan High Court.
Similarly, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Komal Bahadur Khatri, has been recommended as a judge of Surkhet High Court. Similarly, Sharmila Thapa Bista, Pratapsingh Thakurathi, Balkrishna Gayre, Nisha Baniyan, Shyam Kumar Vishwakarma and Arun Kumar Panjiar are recommended as judges by advocates.
