At present, the Monsoon low pressure line is located north of Sardar place, in the lowlands of the country. Although the effect of monsoon is still present in the whole country, the effect of air containing water vapor is seen to be somewhat weak.
According to the Meteorological Department, it will be mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country including Koshi and Lumbini today. There is a chance of moderate rainfall at some places in the hilly and terai areas of Koshi and Lumbini regions and at few places in the hilly and terai areas of the rest of the province.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, the department said. Similarly, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country tonight. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall in some places in the hilly and terai areas of Koshi and Lumbini provinces including Madhes province and in a few places in the hilly and terai areas of the rest of the provinces.
It is mentioned in the bulletin published by the division that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly terrain of Koshi region.
