President of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, Upendra Yadav has said that Madhesh is heading towards the desert due to the government's wrong policies and plans.
He made this allegation while inaugurating the first district convention of Jaspa, Nepal Ekta organized in Rajviraj Municipality-2 of Saptari on Wednesday. "Now the whole of Madhesh has become dry and in crisis, the farmers are doing trahimam-trahimam, the dust is flying in the fields," President Yadav said, "It is not that such a problem did not occur in the past, but from this year the water available at 10/15 feet has stopped even at 300 feet." "This is just the beginning, it may take a more serious form in the future," he said. "For the protection of Chure, billions of rupees of foreign aid also comes every year, but the government has been taking actions such as building roads in Chure and allowing hotels to open," he added.
