Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that legal reform, strengthening foreign relations, investment promotion and infrastructure development are the government's top priorities.
Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly on Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli expressed his belief that Nepal will move towards self-reliance as Nepal becomes a developing nation. He mentioned that efforts are being made to strengthen international relations through effective diplomacy and informed that opportunities have been created to raise foreign investment, cooperation and loans through bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
He also said that the process of revision has been started after reviewing the procurement act and policies and laws related to construction. Mentioning that the government is focusing on the development of individual and institutional capacity, he claimed that efforts are being made to transform Nepal from a land-locked country to a land-linked country.
Prime Minister Oli said, 'Purchase Act and policies and laws related to construction are being studied and revised. Emphasis is placed on personal and institutional capacity development. Efforts are being made to transform Nepal from a land-locked country to a land-linked country by expanding infrastructure and connectivity. Emphasis is placed on developing value chains through multinational companies. The government has decided the necessary strategy regarding the impact on the private sector, reforms in labor and employment and the impact on business. The government of Nepal is trying to make this transfer of Nepal sustainable by gathering support from all sides.'
