Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that government is not synonymous with corruption but with corruption control. Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly on Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli made this claim.

Speaking at zero time of the meeting earlier, CPN (Maoist Center) MP Jag Prasad Sharma alleged that corruption and government have become synonymous. He said that the main culprit for the increase in corruption in the country is the government itself.
Prime Minister Oli said, 'If the government takes action against one or two people, they say that government and corruption are synonymous, Chyalbyal says. Do not punish those who commit corruption? Corruption is not allowed, if anyone does it, action will be taken. That's what you're going to do. The government has become a synonym for corruption control, where is the synonym for corruption? I think we should take it seriously when discussing serious issues.'
He also pointed out the need to move forward with common efforts in terms of development and economic growth.
