Eight highways across the country have been completely blocked due to incessant rains across the country.

According to the police head office, the highways blocked due to incessant rain since Sunday night are Koshi highway in Bhotkhola rural municipality of Sankhuwasabha, bridge connecting Nepal China border in Gosainkund rural municipality of Rasuwa, Araniko highway in Bhotekoshi rural municipality of Sindhupalchok and Bensisahar-Manang road section in Marsyangdi rural municipality of Lamjung.

Similarly, Rudraveni Bami road section in Satyavati Rural Municipality of Gulmi, Ridi Wami road section in Chandrakot Rural Municipality of Gulmi, Jajarkot Dolpa Bheri Corridor road section in Aathbiskot Municipality in Rukum West and Dashrath Chand Highway in Patan Municipality of Baitadi have been completely blocked, police said.

Similarly, the police head office has informed that traffic is being operated one-way on the road section from Kathmandu to Tokha to Nuwakot, Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung Municipality of Baglung, Kaligandaki Corridor in Gaandakot Municipality of Nawalparasi East, Beni-Jomsom Road in Thasang Rural Municipality of Mustang, Prithvi Highway in Bandipur Rural Municipality of Tanahun and Shahid Highway in Parivan Rural Municipality of Rolpa.
