The American government has decided to continue the program run in Nepal under the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

According to the American Embassy in Nepal, the American government decided last week to allow the Millennium Challenge Account Nepal Development Committee (MCA Nepal) to operate freely.

"The foreign aid review conducted by the US government has recommended to continue the implementation of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Nepal agreement and we have informed the Nepal government about this decision," the US Embassy said, "the MCC agreement worth $500 million and the additional contribution of the Nepalese government to it of $19.7 million will support the prosperity and promotion of regional energy through the construction of electricity transmission infrastructure and improvement of road networks."

Now with this decision, MCC Nepal program has opened the way to proceed smoothly.
