Janata Samajwadi Party President Upendra Yadav has said that the Land Bill brought by the government was brought to give land to real estate traders. He said that the existing laws are sufficient to solve the squatter problem.

In the Sunday meeting of the Agriculture Committee of the House of Representatives on the Bill, 2082 to amend some Nepal Acts related to land, Chairman Yadav said that he had doubts about the government's intentions.  Yadav said that a bill was introduced to give government land to the land mafia, previously for another purpose, the land in excess of the limit was given to real estate traders in the name of traders.

'Give land to land businessmen for real estate. This bill was brought not to solve the squatter problem, but to give land to the land mafia," he said. "It is dangerous. Thousands of people have been living in the forest after the ordinance to encourage deforestation. They are hoping to get land by making a raid there. It causes forest destruction, desertification and environmental imbalance.'

The land bill was not brought to solve the squatter problem but to give land to the land mafia: Yadav President Yadav has said that the government has brought the land bill to violate the rights given to the state government by the constitution. Is it possible to bring unconstitutional things? Is it possible to override the jurisdiction set by the constitution? Is it possible to change the schedule of the constitution? Does the government have the right to overturn the constitution?', he said. Yadav also said that if this bill is passed, he will go to the people and legally challenge it in court.

President Yadav also said that the current law does not stop to solve the problem of the landless. 'The current law is enough to solve the squatter problem. Recently, the Prime Minister has come to Jhapa to distribute red rations according to the law. How did this become an obstacle and what is being done?', he asked, 'This bill is not in the interest of the country and the people, even more so it is not in the interest of the nation. Such a law should not be made. How did the eye reach the middle forest? The forest should be saved there, but there is an eye for settlements, which is wrong.' He said that in the

bill, it is proposed to re-demarcate and distribute the land in the forest and national park areas. Stating that the parks are in crisis due to forest destruction, he said that there is an arrangement for arbitrary exploitation of natural resources.
