Health and Population Minister Pradeep Poudel has addressed the Asia Health Forum 2025 under the Boao Forum.

Addressing the plenary session of the

forum on the new future of the health industry driven by innovation, Minister Poudel said that Nepal is actively working under the strategy of transforming into digital health. He mentioned that he is ready for cooperation with Asian countries by saying that work is being done to improve the quality of health along with the increase of citizens' access to health.

Modern technology can help reduce costs, diagnoses, health system management and risk mapping  Mentioning that improvements can be made, Minister Poudel made it clear that he is working keeping in mind the citizens who are out of reach of health care.

Minister Paudel also addressed the session on the impact of climate change on health within the forum and announced that he is going to hold a conference on climate change and health to highlight the issue of citizens affected by the effects of climate change. Informing about Nepal's efforts to prepare to face the climate-induced health crisis, he expressed determination to continue taking initiatives to make this a common issue.

During his visit to China, Minister Paudel met with the Director of the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration (NDCPA) there, His Excellency Shen Hongbin, and asked for health cooperation.

The Nepali Embassy in China said that during the bilateral meeting attended by Nepali Ambassador Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli, Chinese cooperation in vector-borne disease research center in Hetauda, neuro treatment center in government hospitals and other issues were discussed. 

Minister Paudel also met with the Nepali community living in Beijing and asked them to contribute to the nation with the knowledge and skills acquired in China.
