At present, the effect of monsoon air is weak across the country. According to the Water and Weather Forecast Division, the low pressure line of monsoon is located around Sardar place.
According to the department, it will be generally cloudy in the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in the hilly areas of the rest of the states including Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini states and few places in the rest of the state. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, tonight, the division said that it will be generally cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, including Koshi province, and partly cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning at some places in Koshi province and few places in rest of the province.
It is mentioned in the meteorological bulletin published by the department that there is a possibility of windstorm in some places of Terai and Madhes provinces of Koshi province.
