Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that great progress has been made in the country by improving the stable economy.
"The economy, which has declined in the last 3/4 years, has been improved in the last 1 year," he said. Last year, 950 bridges were built from July to April. The districts are connected by roads.'' Referring to the fact that the road structure was destroyed earlier, he said that now 15,000 kilometers of roads have been paved.
While inaugurating the Bighi Bridge connecting Janakpur with Matihani, Provincial Minister Oli said that the construction of postal road in Madhesh has accelerated development. "I have come not only to meet Mahottari, to see, to understand the situation, but to do something for this place," he said. Hulaki road has been connected with Yatayat to facilitate the southern part of Madhesh/Terai. The government has given priority to the postal road for urbanization, to advance the development work and to make the people here rich, to make industrialization, to make the customs efficient.'
Oli urged to emphasize on education for all-round development. "The time has come to pay attention to education without discriminating between children," he said, "where there is education, there is development and prosperity, where there is no education, there is no development, there is poverty."
Prime Minister Oli on Friday inaugurated two bridges built on the Bighi River and Ratu River in Mahottari and the maternity home built in Matihani-6.
