The ninth meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) unanimously passed the proposal regarding the amendment of the party's constitution with suggestions.

The meeting held on the 5th and 6th of July at the party's central office, Chaisal under the chairmanship of the party president and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, passed an eight-point resolution on contemporary issues including the current political activities of the country, the effectiveness of the government, and the legislative convention.

Likewise, the meeting has decided to express high respect to former president Bidya Devi Bhandari.  UML Propaganda Department Head Rajendra Gautam informed that in the meeting of the Central Committee where there was an intensive discussion especially on the proposal related to the amendment of the Constitution, 264 members gave their views and the meeting passed the eight-point proposal. 

According to him, in the meeting, the party chairman and Prime Minister Oli expressed his views on the current political development of the country, making the party more powerful and popular, and the legislative convention. 

Similarly, Chairman of the Central Disciplinary Commission Keshav Wadal, Chairman of the Central Accounts Commission Prof. Dr. Pushpa Kandel and Chairman of the Central Advisory Council Amrit Kumar Bohra presented the report of their respective commissions. In the

meeting, Vice President Bishnu Prasad Paudel presented a proposal regarding the amendment of the Constitution, while General Secretary Shankar Pokharel informed about the organizational work.

Gautam, Head of Propaganda Department informed that it has been decided to include the suggestions received from the members of the Central Committee and send the proposal regarding the amendment to the provincial and district committees of the party for further suggestions.

The meeting concluded that the current government formed under the leadership of the party president and Prime Minister Oli, standing on the foundation of the seven-point agreement between the UML and the Nepali Congress, has worked for the country and the people with good governance and good governance.

The meeting concluded that the current government has succeeded in making Nepal's presence, 'agenda' and role effective in international forums by creating more compatibility in external relations. In the

proposal, it is said that unconditional opposition to corruption and irregularity and unwavering loyalty to good governance and the rule of law are the basic beliefs of the party and standing on this belief, the party has been continuously active in creating anti-corruption laws, making regulatory agencies effective and increasing public awareness in favor of good governance in the society. The

meeting pays tribute to Pushpalal, the founder general secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal and has resolved to develop the Nepali Communist movement as a stronger, united and decisive national power by following his ideals.

Similarly, it has requested the government to solve the long-term problem of Terai Madhesh by immediately implementing special programs for the expansion of climate-friendly programs and the protection and replenishment of Chure area.
