The Nepalese who were trapped in China due to the flood that occurred in the Lhende River on the Nepal-China border on June 24 are going to be returned to their country today.
The Nepalese who could not return to their country after the Nepal-China Miteri bridge was washed away due to floods are going to return to Nepal today through the Tatopani border in Sindhupachok. Engineer Mohan Acharya, a member of the House of Representatives from Rasuwa, met the Minister of State, Dr. Arju Rana Deuba, and asked for diplomatic initiatives to bring back the Nepalese stranded in China. In the
meeting, MP Acharya drew the attention of Foreign Minister Dr. Rana about the delay in bringing the Nepalese who are in Kerung to Nepal, the construction of a temporary bridge connecting Nepal-China, the reconstruction of the Miteri bridge connecting the two countries, and the exchange of information on weather forecast.
With this attention, the Nepalis who are stuck in China are going to be returned to their country today through the Tatopani border in Sindhupalchok. Those trapped in China are going to be brought to Nepal through the Tatopani crossing due to the lack of a bridge in Rasuwa.
Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, Arjun Paudel, informed that the government has made arrangements for the transportation of Nepalis coming to Nepal from Tatopani crossing to Kathmandu.
Chief District Officer Paudel informed that there are 203 Nepalis who are going to return to Nepal, drivers and those who are sick, taking regular medicine and have run out of medicine.
He said that even though the Syafurbensi-Rasuwagadhi road section, which was blocked due to floods, has been put into operation, Miteri Bridge has not been put into operation, so they are going to be sent back to Nepal through Tatopani crossing.
