A meeting was held between UML President and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former President Bidya Devi Bhandari at UML Central Office, Chasal on Sunday.

After former President Bhandari's public announcement that he would join party politics, the matter was discussed in the recent Secretariat and Politburo meeting of UML.

In this regard, a formal discussion is going to be held with the party leadership today. President Oli has been saying that former President Bhandari did not discuss anything with the party before his announcement. 

In the politburo meeting of UML held on Saturday, the members expressed the opinion that the former president, who has held a dignified position, should not enter into the active politics of the party. The meeting of the UML Central Committee will be held from Monday.
