The Election Commission has announced the election program for the by-elections to be held on 17 October 2082 in Rupandehi Representative Assembly Constituency No. 3.
According to Commission spokesperson Nita Pokharel Aryal Candidate nomination registration will be held at the election officer's office on October 21 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The preliminary list of candidates will be published on the same day from 5 to 7 pm.
The deadline for submitting a complaint against the candidate will be on October 22nd at 3 pm, and after examining the same complaint, the final list will be published by October 23rd at 7 pm. The name can be returned by 1 pm on October 24. On the same day, the final list of candidates will be published and election symbols will be distributed. Voting will be held on November 17 from 7 am to 5 pm.
The Commission has also informed about the legal provision that people who are on the closed list cannot become candidates for the proportional system.
Deepak Bohra, an MP elected from the constituency from the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, passed away on March 19, and the constituency is vacant. In the 2079 election, Bohra defeated Congress leader Balkrishna Khan.
