Politburo meeting of Nepal Communist Party (UML) continues. UML Propaganda Department Head Rajendra Gautam informed that the meeting started a few minutes ago at the UML headquarters in Chaisal, Lalitpur under the chairmanship of Prime Minister and Party President KP Sharma Oli.

Politburo members are scheduled to give their views on the constitutional amendment proposal presented by Vice President Bishnu Prasad Paudel in the meeting. 

According to Gautam, the head of the Publicity Department, the Politburo members who are yet to speak on Friday will express their opinion on the legislative amendment proposal report today. On Friday, seven members of the Politburo expressed their views on the amendment. 

In the legislative amendment proposal, the 70-year age limit and the two-term system in Article 64 of the party's constitution (2078 amendment) have been removed. In addition, it has been arranged that the number of Central Committee will be 251 including the number of office bearers and there will be three levels of Standing Committee, Politburo Committee and Central Committee. 

According to Gautam, Head of Publicity Department, it has been proposed to consider the number of party officials as a permanent committee. Earlier, the office bearer was considered as a member of the secretariat. He informed about the agenda of the Politburo meeting which will be concluded today.
