UML's politburo meeting is being held today to discuss the proposals to be presented in the upcoming legislative convention.
Under the chairmanship of party president and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the UML Central Office, Lalitpur Chasal will hold a meeting at 1:00 p.m.
These proposals will be presented at the central committee meeting to be held on July 5 before the legislative convention. In the meeting held on Thursday night, there was an intensive discussion on the proposal to amend the law.
UML's second legislative convention will be held on August 20, 21 and 22 at Godavari in Lalitpur. The legislative convention is preparing to formally remove the age limit of 70 years and the provision of not being allowed to hold two consecutive terms in the same position within the party.
UML's central committee will finalize the constitutional amendment proposal presented by Vice President Bishnuprasad Paudel on Thursday for the legislative convention.
