Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar has said that the overall situation of peace and security in the country is good. Speaking at the Federalism Strengthening and National Affairs Committee meeting on Friday, he said that the Ministry of Home Affairs is working to ensure peace and security in the country and protect the lives and property of citizens.

He said that the home administration is engaged in the work of reducing and controlling crime and if there is a crime, punish the criminal according to the law by conducting a proper investigation. The Home Minister claims that the peace and security situation is favorable now. He said that the ministry is continuously working to control

crime and those who have absconded with criminal acts are also being arrested.

The Home Minister said, "Reducing and controlling crime and if there is a crime, punishing the criminal according to the law is another responsibility". Establishing good governance in the country, implementing the constitution and laws, and disaster management are the continuous tasks of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Our security agencies are doing well in bringing criminals to justice after the crime has been committed . In the recent past, people who have been involved in many old crimes and escaped have been arrested.'
