Heavy rain is predicted in some places of different five provinces today. At present, there is an influence of Monsoon air across the country and there is an influence of the low pressure area around Uttar Pradesh of India. According to the Water and Weather Forecast Division, the Monsoon low pressure line is around Sardar place.

According to the department, heavy rain is likely to occur at one or two places in Wagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in some places in the highlands and mountainous parts of the country . There is a possibility of storm in some places of Terai region of Lumbini and Far West region .
Stating that there is a risk of floods and landslides due to possible rains, the department has requested the people of those areas to be careful as there is a risk of flooding in urban and lowland areas. As the water level in large and small rivers and streams may rise, the daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, roads and air traffic around the river area may be affected, so the general public and all concerned bodies have been requested to take necessary precautions and prepare.
