President Ramchandra Paudel has said that laxity in the work of making essential laws by the Parliament will create obstacles in achieving our national aspirations.
In a meeting with journalists affiliated to the Parliamentary Affairs Journalists Association, he said that without allowing a situation of deadlock in the Parliament, necessary discussions, consensus and cooperation will make the parliamentary activities more people-oriented and awaken people's trust in the Parliament.
He said, "In this regard, I expect that the role of you who have been working day and night in parliamentary activities will be such as to inspire the people's representatives, parliamentary structure and parliamentary activities in this direction."
President Paudel said that in a democratic system of governance, Parliament is the place where the voice of the people is voiced and necessary laws are made, and the responsibility of journalists who play the role of warning and making the necessary laws through the Parliament and its committees and conveying information about the work done by the people's representatives about the people's urgent problems is intense.
