Communications and Information Technology Minister Prithvisubba Gurung has said that the government is not in the mood to turn a blind eye to wrongdoers.
On Wednesday, while answering questions from media persons at Singh Darbar, he gave a response to the audio episode of outgoing Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Rajkumar Gupta.
The minister has resigned on the grounds of ethics and a new minister has also arrived, he said that the government will proceed with the investigation process and will take action if found guilty. He made it clear that the government will proceed based on facts and truth.
He said, 'After the question was raised, the job of resigning on the basis of ethics has already been done. We all want corruption free Nepal. For that, we want corruption to end. We all demand that action should be taken against the corrupt minister or any secretary or official. The General Administration Minister has already resigned on moral grounds after the question was raised. Another minister has arrived. There is a question whether there will be an investigation or not, it will continue. The government moves forward based on facts and truth. Therefore, it should not be said that the government should turn a blind eye.
Minister Gurung made it clear that anyone who makes a mistake will be punished.
