Newly appointed Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Bhagwati Neupane has taken oath of office and secrecy before President Ramchandra Paudel. President Paudel administered the oath to him in a special ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan Sheetal Niwas on Wednesday.
President Paudel on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli appointed National Assembly member Neupane as Federal Affairs Minister on Tuesday. The
ceremony was attended by Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, ministers, heads of security agencies, heads of constitutional bodies, chief secretaries, leaders and workers of political parties.
Previously, he was a whip in the National Assembly on behalf of UML. Newly appointed minister Neupane, who is also a central member of UML, is scheduled to visit Singha Durbar today and assume the post.
