The Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) has urged the party ranks to actively participate in humanitarian aid during the disaster.
Releasing a statement today, Acting Chairman of RSWP, Dol Prasad Aryal, has called on the party's committees, departments and members at all levels of the party to actively participate in mitigating potential disasters that may occur during the monsoon, providing quick rescue after the incident, effective relief distribution and other humanitarian assistance.
RSWP has requested to continuously coordinate with the local government, district administration office and security agencies, local disaster management committees for pre-disaster preparations.
"In the context that even the Department of Meteorology has predicted more than average rainfall in this year's monsoon, there is an urgent need for us all to be more alert and prepared", the statement said, "it is everyone's duty to serve the citizens with the spirit of humanitarian service during a disaster. It is requested to focus on pre-disaster preparations and post-disaster response.
