Bhaktapur has been declared fully vaccinated. Bagmati Province Government Health Minister Kiran Thapa announced Bhaktapur district as a fully vaccinated district in the declaration program organized by the Vaccination District Coordinating Committee in Suryavinayak today.
Health Minister Thapa handed over the certificate of complete vaccine certainty and sustainability to Bhaktapur district. Earlier, all the four local levels of the district were declared fully vaccinated. He said that to make the Chief Minister's Health Program effective, a team of volunteers including health workers will be mobilized to identify non-communicable diseases at doorsteps. ' For that, we have arranged the salary of the volunteers and 1000 communication expenses,' he said.
He said that the Provincial Ministry of Health has made arrangements to make Bhaktapur Hospital and Hetauda Hospital a telemedicine hub and operate 24-hour services, and informed that the ministry has effectively advanced the upgrading of provincial level hospitals, additional manpower and distribution of equipment.
Dr. Sumitra Gautam, secretary of the Ministry of Health of Bagmati province, said that there is a challenge to ensure the sustainability of vaccination and said that no one should be exempted from vaccination. Stating that child mortality rate is decreasing every year when vaccination is effective, she informed that child mortality rate has decreased by 80 percent due to the effectiveness of regular vaccination program.
