Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that it is difficult to find leaders and workers in Congress who will work for the country and the people.
Deuba, who came to the funeral meeting on the 13th day after the death of Baglung founder leader Gobind Prasad Sharma Kandel, said that sacrifice and loyalty like Kandel's will not be found anymore. He recalled that Kandel never asked for anything after joining politics.
Deuba, who reached Kandel's residence in Kathkhola rural municipality-5 Karlim and paid his respects, also asked everyone to worry about democracy. He was of the opinion that if democracy can be institutionalized, everyone's political future will be secured. In the
program, another leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula, central member Champa Khadka, Arjun Joshi and others also paid tribute to Kandel . Congress leaders and activists reached Kandel Niwas for the tribute meeting. Kandel was also the winning MP from Baglung Region No. 1 in 2048.
When the Parliament was dissolved at that time, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala was accused of making a mistake. Even when BP Koirala was coming with the policy of reconciliation, he was arrested from Kandel airport and spent 7 years in jail. Kandel was last president of BP Chintan Pratishthan. Under the chairmanship of Kandel, a discussion program on the problems of the three-level budget formulation process was completed through BP Chintan Pratishthan on June 2. Kandel passed away on June 15th.
