The executive meeting of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, which was held after seven months, ended in 1 minute and 8 seconds. According to the provisions of the Local Government Operation Act, 2074, the local level executive meeting must be held once a month.
However, in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, due to the dispute between Chief Balendra Shah and Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Guragai, the executive meeting was held on Friday after seven months.
Even the meeting held after seven months could not last long . In the meeting, Chief Shah informed that although there were 24 agendas, only one agenda was decided. "Kathmandu Metropolitan City's 40th I would like to welcome the deputy chief, staff friends, executive friends to the executive meeting,' said Shah, 'even though there were 24 items on the agenda, today only one agenda has been kept. Regarding setting the date of the 17th Municipal Assembly Session of Kathmandu Metropolitan City in Resolution No. 1, I would like to inform you that the Municipal Assembly will meet at 2:00 PM on the 29th and the Executive Committee will meet at 9:00 AM.
Shah ended the meeting by saying that he wanted to finish the meeting as there were no other topics.
Then Deputy Chief Sunita Dangol informed that the budget drafting committee meeting will be held today. By that time, Metropolitan Chief Shah had left the meeting room.
The executive meeting was called when the budget of the metropolitan city, which was supposed to be brought by June 10, could not be brought even by the end of the month. Now the budget of Kathmandu metropolis is coming on 29th.
