Tatopani Naka Kodari (Eco), which connects Bhotekoshi rural municipality-2 of the district to China, was blocked again on Thursday due to flooding.

According to local police Kodari, this is the fourth time that Tatopani crossing has been closed due to road flooding in Kodari Eco area of Kodari highway (26 km).

It is said that coordination has been done with the Charikot Road Division Office to open the road and efforts have been started to remove the landslide. Amit Shrestha, head of the Charikot road division office, informed that work is underway to open the road and it will open in an hour. "We are trying to open the road, there has been a problem at the Tatopani crossing because the road has not been flooded during the winter, we are trying to make the road easier," he said.

The road was washed away in Kodari on the international Kodari highway on Sunday as well. With the highway completely blocked, dozens of containers carrying goods from China have been stopped at Liping for customs procedures. Earlier, the road was made smooth by removing the blockage at this place, Khakundol and Koplan, in which two excavators were used. Currently, Beilibridge is connected to Larcha.

The checkpoint was closed after about 15 feet of the road was washed away in the Koplan area.
