The road has been blocked since 5:30 in the morning due to landslides under the Mahendra Highway.
According to the District Police Office Parasi, the highway has been washed away near Khursani river east of Bardghat.
The DSP Veer Dutt Pant of Parasi said that a truck numbered Lu 1 B 5827 was stuck at the place where the road was washed away. Police have been sent to the scene for rescue.
The road is washed away on the section of Mahendra Highway towards Bardghat. Hundreds of vehicles traveling east-west have been stopped there.
