The Supreme Court has refused to grant an interim order to the writ petition filed demanding cancellation of the appointment of Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Vishwa Paudel.

A bench of Justices Kumar Regmi and Mahesh Sharma Paudel refused to grant the interim order today. The court has also ordered to prioritize the case.

With this order, Governor Poudel will not be hindered from working for the time being. Advocates Vishal Thapa, Pratibha Upreti and Anantaraj Luintel filed a writ petition on June 13, demanding that the appointment of the governor be revoked, stating that the appointment was illegal.
