Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that there is no need to be afraid to spread the word that Ram was born in Nepal. Addressing a program organized by the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department of CPN-UML in Kathmandu on Monday, he made this claim again.

Even before this, Prime Minister Oli had repeatedly claimed that Lord Ram's birth place was in Thori located in Madi, Chitwan. He says that no one can change the birth place of Ram just by making a story. He claims that Ram Janmabhoomi now belongs to Nepal and rationally it cannot be elsewhere. He insisted that Nepal is Ram's birthplace without fearing that others would get angry saying that Nepal is the birthplace of Ram. He says that it was not written by him but in Valmiki's Ramayana.

'We talk about tourism. But in the end, someone just made a story about Ram being born in Nepal. That they were born in a certain place. Ram was born in Nepal. It belongs to the land of Nepal, that place now. I do not say that it was Nepal at that time. What was it, what was it not, was it a Tharu village? what was But now that land is in Nepal. If Rama is God, it is up to you to accept it or not. Those who consider Rama as God, the birthplace of Rama is sacred. We can't preach so much. We can't say that much. We do not dare so much. It seems awkward. Who seems to be angry,' Prime Minister Oli said, 'Shiva is from here, Vishwamitra is from here. I did not write the Ramayana, in Valmiki's Ramayana Vishwamitra says that he crossed the river Koshi and went to the west to teach Rama Lakshmana. I didn't write that. It is clear that Vishwamitra is from Chatra.'

Prime Minister Oli said that the tourism board does not have to go abroad to promote Nepal. He said that propaganda can be done from Nepal through online.
