The two opposition parties represented in the House of Representatives have boycotted the meeting demanding a parliamentary committee on the 'visit visa' issue.
As soon as Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced the start of today's session of the House of Representatives, an hour later than the scheduled time, the MPs of the National Liberal Party (RSP) and the National Democratic Party (RPP) stood up and protested.
Speaker Ghimire gave RSVP MP Manish Jha time to speak. Mentioning that he had said a few months ago that this government should not collapse, he said that it was sad that a different topic was passed than the one proposed by the Speaker in the Parliament regarding the 'cooling off period'.
'Questions were raised about the leader of the party belonging to the party . An agreement was reached a year ago not to form a committee under the coordination of the leaders of those parties. But this time they are trying to do the same. This is not acceptable to us,' he said.
MP Deepak Bahadur Singh mentioned that a parliamentary committee is also going to be formed for the 'cooling off period' in the Civil Bill and demanded a parliamentary committee to investigate this matter as the Prime Minister and lower level employees are involved in the visit visa case .
Questioning why a parliamentary inquiry committee was not formed on this matter, he said that the RPP will boycott today's meeting.
