Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the Karnali Corridor will be developed as a trade route with China and India. He said that the Karnali Corridor is not only a trade route between Karnali and Humlawasi, but also a trade route with two neighboring countries, so it will be made into two lanes immediately and will be paved.
Prime Minister Oli while inaugurating a belay bridge in Kharpunath Rural Municipality-5 Chuwakhola today said that a concrete bridge will soon be constructed in Chuwakhola under the Karnali Corridor. He expressed his happiness that Simkot, the headquarters of Humla, was formally connected to the national road network.
Mentioning that the Beili Bridge has been built to connect Humla with the national road network and the tri-national border, Prime Minister Oli expressed his commitment to lead not only Humla but the country to the path of prosperity by continuing the under-construction concrete bridge. He said that the road will be upgraded even if it is sloped in difficult places.
Prime Minister Oli has promised that a quarantine will be built at Hilsa border crossing with the neighboring country China. He mentioned that there is a great potential for business here and said that it is necessary to establish a quarantine immediately to do business with neighboring countries.
To connect Humla with the road network, the Nepali Army started installing a belay bridge in Chuwakhola from March 10 last year. Prime Minister Oli reached Kharpunath today via Surkhet from Kathmandu in a helicopter of the Nepali Army to inaugurate the Beilibridge. When he arrived here, the locals welcomed him with marijuana.
Prime Minister Oli along with Defense Minister Manvir Rai, Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal, CPN (UML) Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali, Karnali State Chief Yagyaraj Joshi, Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel, Nepali Army Chief of Staff Ashokraj Sigdel, Infrastructure Ministry Secretary Keshav Kumar Sharma and others reached Humla. 26 years after the Karnali Corridor construction started, Humla headquarters Simkot has been formally connected to the national road network.
The Nepali Army has informed that the construction of Belybridge was completed on 10th of June at Kharpunath-5 Chuvakhola under the Karnali Corridor, which has been promoted by the government as a project of national pride. It will connect Karnali with north and south inland road network .
