Dhawal Library has awarded two writers with the 'Dhawal Creation Award'. Literary and historian professor Dr. Karna Bahadur Baniyan and writer RB Nischal were awarded.

Dhawal Long Sadhana Award has been given to the Baniyan who have worked tirelessly in the field of Palpa's history, culture and mainly children's literature. Nischal's 'Ulto Dhar' poetry collection was awarded the Dhawal Creation Award.

award-winning 'Ulto Dhar' work is divided into three sections. The collection of 48 poems contains poems about existence, time, love, women, caste discrimination and disgust towards social anomalies. Nischal's writings contain glimpses of caste discrimination, social injustice, existence and philosophy. 

dr. Baniyan's  The Culture of Palpa during the Sena Period: A Historical Analysis, Including the Bhagwati Jatra of Palpa Many works and research papers related to history have been published. Banyans who are particularly interested in history have studied the cultural aspects of Palpa's royal or Sen reign. Baniyan, who is interested in the cultural-historical examples of the local community, has analyzed the traditions and folk consciousness of the Palpa region.  In the

program, Lumbini Health Minister Khem Saru, Director of Dhaval Library Yuvraj Paudel and others honored the awardees with certificates, cash prizes and Palpali Dhaka. Rajesh Kumar Aryal, secretary general of the library, said that the amount of both the awards is 25 thousand rupees in cash and a certificate.

Social activist Buddhi Prasad Sharma said that writers Banian and Nischal have made invaluable contributions for Palpa. Respected creator Baniyan opined that he had the opportunity to learn many things from Palpa during his stay of 25 years. Writer Nischal said that this award has inspired him to work harder in literature.

writer Lakshima Gyawali said that both the respected authors have contributed significantly to Palpa's literature and history writing. Kamalraj Timilsina, the district president of the Federation of Journalists, said that the dignity of Dhawal Library has been enhanced by honoring those who have made special contributions in the field of language and literature.

Dhawal Library was established in 1983.
