Highway Update: Seven roads in different districts are completely blocked

Seven road sections of various highways in the country have been completely blocked due to floods and landslides after the rains. According to the police headquarters, roads in Sankhuwasabha, Kavrepalanchok, Sindhupalchok, Dolpa, Rukumpaschim, Jajarkot and Bajura were completely blocked due to floods and landslides.

According to the Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police and Deputy Inspector General of Police Vinod Ghimire, Koshi Highway has been completely blocked due to rain in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasabha. Similarly, he informed that a landslide occurred in Banepa municipality-4 of Kavrepalanchok and the Bhaktapur section was blocked through Banepa canal and the bridge over the road was broken at that place.

Ghimire said that Arani's highway was completely blocked due to a landslide in Kodari of Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok. Due to flood in Tripurasundari Municipality-1 Chalaghat of Dolpa, Bheri Corridor and Jajarkot Dolpa Bheri Corridor have been blocked due to flood in Athaviskot Municipality-6 Rijigar in Rukumpaschim. 

Similarly, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ghimire mentioned that the Martadi-Kolti road was completely closed due to the landslide in Chedagad Municipality-3 Dakheribhir, Madhyapahari Highway and Badimalika Municipality-7 Dhamke Bhasupatal in Bajura.

According to the police, the Baglungthist Kaligandaki corridor blocked by the landslide and the Shahid highway, which was blocked due to the landslide in Rolpa, have come into operation in one way . Similarly, police said that the Shahid Marg, which was blocked due to a landslide in Kaligand's corridor Rolpa-5 of Gulmi, has been opened one-way.
