A delegation of the Malaysia-Nepal Business Council met today with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli regarding investment possibilities and opportunities in various sectors in Nepal.

In a meeting at the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar, the 20-member delegation led by the Executive Chairman of Paradise Group Company, Malaysia Pradeep Kumar Kukreja (Dato) said that they are visiting Nepal to establish meaningful business and bilateral relations for new enterprises and to understand the business environment of Nepal in detail.

Prime Minister Oli informed that the government is making legal and structural reforms to encourage and facilitate foreign investment for the prosperity of Nepal and urged them to invest in Nepal. He informed that the government will always cooperate with businessmen in what kind of reforms and facilitations are needed in the future. The

delegation said that they are eager to work in the fields of waste (plastic) processing, information technology park, tourism etc. in Nepal. On the occasion of the meeting, the possibility of investment in tourism, agriculture, information technology, manpower, clothing and various sectors in Nepal was discussed. 

The delegation, which came in collaboration with the Nepali Embassy in Malaysia, came to Kathmandu on June 18 for a three-day trip. On the occasion of the meeting, Prime Minister's Chief Advisor Vishnuprasad Rimal, Economic Affairs Advisor Dr. Yuvraj Khatiwada and others participated.
