What is going on in the parliament and the courts is contrary to the confession made among the people: President Dahal

Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that what is going on in the parliament and the courts is an exercise against the confession of the parties.

He said the current government's activities,  Parliamentary Practice and Court Activities  He said that it is happening contrary to the confession made with the people. 

Friday On the occasion of the late Girija Prasad Koirala's 102nd birth anniversary, in a special program organized today at Sheetal Niwas, President Dahal said, "On democracy and peace process, Mr. Girija Prasad said that Koirala has made an important contribution. He said that it is necessary for the current leadership to pay attention to fulfilling Koirala's dream.

President Dahal raised serious questions about the country's progress in accordance with the spirit of the comprehensive peace agreement.  'What we agreed with the people when we signed the comprehensive peace agreement, have we moved forward?' he questioned. 

He said that there was no seriousness in implementing the democratic values, transparent justice system, strong parliament and people-oriented governance system that Koirala had seen.  ''The ongoing parliamentary practice, the functioning of the justice sector, the activities of the government - are we moving towards the people's practice of democracy and change?,' he said.

Honoring Girijababu's contribution, President Dahal expressed concern that the current leadership has not taken concrete steps towards realizing the dreams of the people in the republic. "While remembering the work done by Girijababu in favor of the people, today's leaders need to make a serious review," he said. 

He said that he went on a campaign with the people focused on Hulaki Highway and Central Pahari Lokmarg to understand the feelings and problems of the people. 'I have now set out on a campaign to understand people's sentiments and concerns. People are not satisfied with what is happening now. If we don't give priority to the people's welfare, the situation is serious,' he said.  In the

program, he expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of the current government, parliament and courts and said that the situation is not as easy as the ruling party thought. "How the government has run, what is the state of the parliament and the courts - all this needs a serious review," he said.
