Two budget dependent bills have been passed by the National Assembly. The Economic Bill, 2082 and the National Debt Collection Bill, 2082 were passed in today's meeting of the Assembly. The National Assembly passed the bill and sent it to the House of Representatives.

In the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel proposed that the Economic Bill, 2082 and the National Debt Collection Bill received from the House of Representatives with a message be passed without suggestions and sent back to the House of Representatives. The resolution was passed by the majority of the assembly.

Answering the questions raised during the weekly discussion on the economic bill, Deputy Prime Minister Paudel clarified that it was decided to impose a luxury tax on gold jewelry to address the concerns expressed by the international community about making gold transactions transparent. 

'Nepal needs policy and legal reforms to get it out of the gray list. Policy arrangements have been made to reduce the impact of this. With this, the gold transaction will be fair, it will bring the transaction under the scope of taxation, and the illegal transaction will end, he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Paudel, while answering the questions raised in the weekly discussion on the National Debt Raising Bill, claimed that the next year's budget has proved to be excellent in terms of allocation, revenue estimation, international cooperation, internal debt, etc. He assured that internal credit will be used for production and productivity growth and capital expenditure. 

The majority of the suggestions made by the parliamentarians regarding the bill were rejected by the assembly. The next meeting of the National Assembly will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at 1:15 pm. will sit
