President Ramchandra Paudel has said that former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala was a leader of revolution and peace. Addressing the program held on Friday on the occasion of former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's 102nd birth anniversary, President Paudel said, 'If I can say one word about Girija Prasad Koirala, he is a leader of revolution and also a leader of peace.'

President Poudel made it clear that Girija Prasad, having the ability to change the direction of politics, led the democratic movement, advanced the peace process and established the republic in three important political events of the last period.

In the latter part of his life, Girija Prasad Koirala succeeded in getting the position of a politician who has always been a source of inspiration for all of us.

He said, 'That's why he continued to fight for democracy. He had a habit of never getting tired of work and inspiring his friends to move forward. Even in adversity, the light of democracy in him never went out.'

President Paudel said that the goals of the country's prosperity will be achieved only through the proper use of our resources and tools, including peace, stability, reconciliation, cooperation, good governance and the efficiency of service delivery to the people. He said, 'We have got a constitution made by the people themselves. Improvement in the standard of living of the people and the prosperity of the country is the aim of our constitution and federal democratic republic. Peace, stability, reconciliation, cooperation, good governance and the efficiency of service delivery to the people, this goal can only be achieved through the proper use of our resources and means.'

She said that even though there are philosophical differences in the model of economic development, the economic development model of Girijaprasad's tenure held a middle ground between capitalist and communist thinking, despite various negative economic shocks around the world, Nepal's economy was saved to some extent.
