There was a clash between armed police and smuggling in Videh Municipality-2 Videh Duhabi of Dhanusha.
A team of 30 armed police reached there based on the information that smuggled goods were brought in and placed in the mango garden around 7 pm on Thursday.
As soon as the armed police arrived, a group of smugglers attacked the police with homemade weapons, mortars and stones, Dhanusha Armed Police Superintendent (SP) Nirmal Khadka said.
6 armed policemen were injured during the clash and they are being treated at the provincial hospital in Janakpurdham. According to the police, four rounds of aerial fire and 13 cells of tear gas had to be fired while taking the situation under control.
